Who Is Better Equipped?

I definitely agree that it depends on the person when it comes to managing the finances. Some men have what it takes, but some women do as well. In my household my husband handles the finances, and that works well for us. However, another couple we know is the opposite. The woman handles all of the finances even though her husband is the one who makes most of the money. I think who handles the checkbook is not as important as the level of each partners involvement in the finances. My father recently fell ill which left my mother to take over all of the bills. She was never involved in the process and therefore didn’t know who to pay, or even where and how much money they had. It made a bad situation even worse for a while. My father’s sickness was unavoidable, but I think my mother could have paid the bills if she had been involved in the process.
