I completely disagree with "Mr Old. Fashioned's" comments. In my experience, for couples it's best to keep the finances separted and have one joint account for the household expenses. That way you can spend your money on things that you want and he can spend money on things he wants and avoid the tension that can arise when dealing with joint finances.
