How to Parent Your Parents
I understand your frustration. My husband and I were raising our two sons, ages 11 and 13 when my Mother needed daily care, or be placed in a nursing home. As an only child, that left the responsibility to me. For two and a half years, I took care of my Mother, daily. Was I overwhelmed? You bet! She passed away Sept. 7, 2001. Since her death, I've looked back on that time of caring for her, and have gotten much comfort from my memories. Hang in there. In the end, it's worth it all.
